Dubai is a modern cosmopolitan city, but beyond all the big towers and shiny malls, hides a different kind of beauty, an authentic side of a small port town that defied all odds to become a mega hub for global trade, luxury tourism and futuristic innovations. Dubai compresses a variety of historic neighbourhoods, one of my favourite places is Al Fuhaidi area, and here are a few photos that I snapped using my smartphone.
